Introduction
A joint exhibition of two friends and brothers in arts, Marek Odrobina and Jan Edlman.
The authors have chosen for the concept of their exhibition this classical juxtaposition of concepts that are as distant from each other as they are, conversely, close. Because for something to cease to exist, it must first come into existence, and always something will cease to exist for something else to come into being.
Despite all mutual inspiration, the authors approach this theme in their own way. Through their style, their form, their narrative skills, and although their works are so different, the viewer will surely find many commonalities. The exhibition, therefore, encourages deep, multi-layered contemplation about what the authors actually wanted to convey, what they aim to inspire, what questions they pose to themselves and the surroundings, and whether they are controversial enough to captivate observers overwhelmed by today's information smog and immerse them together in contemplation of visual communication.
